Sessions will take place throughout the day from 11 am until 16.15pm, after which the 124th SLTC Annual General Meeting will commence. Sessions include: a lecture from Pittard’s Reg Hankey; a virtual tour of the Institute of Creative Leather Technology at the University of Northampton (ICLT); a talk from Trumpler’s Dr Matt Walker on the sustainability of leather; a presentation of a study of different traditional skin processing technology from Elisa Paomino, Gustavo Adrian Defeo and Lotta Rahme; a review of established techniques and development of new methods by the ICLT’s Dr Stefan Davies; and a panel discussion on the sustainability of leather with panelists from Leather UK, the Sustainable Leather Foundation, W2O Environment and Trumpler.
