The International Council of Hides’, Skins and Leather Traders Associations (ICHSLTA) has elected it new President at its AGM in Hong Kong on March 11.

Micaela Topper, Manager of Australian hide and wet-blue bovine leather trader A I Topper, has been elected as the new President of ICHSLTA and will serve a two-year term.
Speaking at a joint ICHSLTA and Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) cocktail reception in Hong Kong on March 12, she said that she was looking forward to the role and representing the industry on the global stage.
Topper said one of her priorities was helping the raw materials for leather sector prepare for the upcoming EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulations) set to come into force at the end of the year.
