Athletic footwear and apparel group JD Sports has reported revenues of more than £11.4 billion for the year ending February 1, 2025, up by 10.2% compared to the previous year.
It generated £3.2 billion of its total sales revenues in its home market, the UK, a fall of 4.1% year on year.
There was growth in all other regions, with its revenues in the rest of Europe increasing by 9.5% to reach £3.5 billion, sales in North America growing by 26.6% to reach more than £4.2 billion and sales in Asia Pacific up by 0.4% at £501 million.
Across the group, footwear sales brought in £6.8 billion, an increase of 15.1% year on year. JD Sports said one reason for this high level of growth was that acquisitions it made during the 12-month period had been “mostly footwear-focused”.
The figure for apparel in this most recent financial year was £3.5 billion, growth of 4.1%.
Accessories generated sales revenues of £702 million, up by 4.8%. The figure for a category JD Sports calls ‘Other’, which includes sales of outdoor living equipment, delivery income and revenue from gym memberships, fell to £387 million, down by 28.8% year on year.
