The 2025 award was presented to Tim Niedermayer, a technician from the German tannery Gmelich + Soehne, by Dr Kerstin Schulte, Board Head at VGCT.
The VGCT Annual Award was given to Dieter Cramer in honour of his many years dedicated to training tanners at the Kerschensteiner School.
Cramer is a master tanner and has previously worked at tanners including Bader among others. Since 2021, after retirement, he has been training students on a voluntary basis with practical lessons.
His award was presented by Andreas Meyer, Director of the VDL (German Tanners’ Association), along with Cramer’s recent cohort of students.
