On the afternoon of July 23, 2014, the seminar for water-saving and emission technology route map in tanning sector was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province. This seminar was organized by China Leather Industry Association, the specialists and professors from colleges, specialized committee in tanning sector and the main representative from professional committee of leather chemical attended this seminar.

Deputy secretary general of China Leather Industry Association Chen Zhanguang firstly introduced the background and preliminary ideas of water-saving and emission technology route map in tanning sector, and the president of China Leather Industry Association Su Chaoying gave four suggestions after stating the significance of making the water-saving and emission technology route map in tanning sector.

Tip one: To edit the route map should focus on energy conservation and emission reduction and technological innovation.

Tip two: It is a public benefit activity that needs enterprises, colleges and universities jointly contribute to the development for the industry.

Tip three: The framework should make up jointly by main managers from tanning and leather chemical enterprises, the specialists and professors from colleges, scientific research institutions and testing organizations.

Tip four: The route map should be rigorous, practical and with perspectiveness, operability and reference.

After that, Chen Zhanguang introduced the general idea, content, the finishing time and some imagination & requirements.
