A pair of iconic ruby red slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz recently sold for $28 million (€25 million) at a US auction.
The sequined shoes, one of only four surviving pairs used in the film, were previously stolen from a Minnesota museum.
Often called the "Holy Grail of Hollywood memorabilia," the slippers have now set a record as the most valuable movie prop ever sold at auction.
Including auction house fees, the total price soared to $32.5 million (€30 million), nearly 11 times their pre-auction estimate of $3 million (€2.7 million).
