Italian tannery BCN Concerie has won the Eco-Innovation Award 2024 from the North-West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce for the PMI section.
BCN Concerie received the award for an innovation strategy capable of successfully integrating digitalisation and the circular economy.

To achieve this, the company drove the efficiency and sustainability of its tanning production process through an investment program and was awarded a prize of €10,000.
BCN Concerie President Roberto Lupi said at the award ceremony: “Six years ago, I heard the word artificial intelligence for the first time. With BCN, which has always been at the forefront, I launched into this new adventure by starting a digitalisation process for the company.
Integrating the leather production process with all the new systems and training is truly challenging, but it is a necessary process in which we need to invest. It takes courage to invest in times of crisis, but the market will find us with more competitiveness and potential. It takes tenacity and perseverance in seeking ever better results.”
