Organized by the International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC), in collaboration with CLIA, the 22nd UITIC International Technical Footwear Congress returns to China after its 2013 event in Guangzhou. Shanghai was chosen as the venue for its status as China’s largest economic powerhouse and a key international financial center, as well as its proximity to various footwear manufacturing clusters, including Wenzhou, Wenling, Gaoqiao, and Danyang, an excellent opportunity to showcase the substantial advancement in China’s footwear industry, making Shanghai an absolute fitting location for this major footwear event.
Mr. Li also highlighted the significance of iconic brands such as Huili and the Shanghai Leather Shoe Factory, along with prominent shoe material suppliers like Haufeng, as well educational institutions like Donghua University that plays a cruicial part in nurturing talents within the footwear sector. The congress is anticipated to attract around 300 participants, including over 80 international representatives.
The event will focus on “Footwear Competitiveness and Sustainable Development in the Era of AI”, featuring discussions on innovation trends in AI and sustainability, with 16 speakers and 24 visual presentations shown on site. Activities include factory visits from 31 August to 1 September, a night cruise on 2 September, and access to the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) –
register now and Moda China exhibitions on the final day. This Congress serves as a platform for information exchange and collaboration within the footwear industry.
