General Introduction

China Leather Goods Commission is a branch affiliated to China Leather Industry Association. Its task is to provide better service for the leather goods industry, and improve the overall standard of China’s leather goods industry. China Leather Goods Commission consists of leather goods production and distribution enterprises.

Service Content

● Carry out domestic and overseas market research and formulate industrial development planning.

● Implement brand strategy and promote national brand development.

● Formulate industrial rules and regulations, and strengthen industry self-discipline.

● Organize industry meeting, and coordinate enterprise communication and exchange.

● Provide information and consulting services.

● Participates in industrial standard accreditation, and organizes the standard implementation through the activities of Subcommittee 1 on cace and bag of National Technical Committee 252 on Leather of Standardization Administration of China.

● Cultivate industrial talents, organize excellent designer appraisal, enhance original design standard, organize institutions and enterprises to participate in the "Genuine Leather Mark Cup" design competition.

● Organize companies to visit and participate in domestic and overseas exhibitions, and assist enterprises to expand the markets both at home and abroad.

Industry Introduction

Leather goods industry is an important part of China leather industry. Leather goods include: luggage and bag, wallet, leather belt, leather gloves and leather fittings, sofa and car seat sets, and other leather products. Now, there are more than 6000 leather goods enterprises across the country with about 1 million employees. China's leather goods industry exports are valued at more than USD 25 billion, accounting for over 40% of the world’s total leather goods exports, making it the highest in the world.

Production of China’s leather products are mainly concentrated in the following provinces of Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Hebei and Shandong. At present, with the advantages of their lower costs, the central regions of China, such as Jiangxi, Hunan, Henan, Anhui, etc., are undertaking leather product industrial transfer.
